It is quite a great album. Progressive death metal drawing heavily on Led Zepp, Deep Purple and Pink Floyd in a way all their own. Brilliant songwriting, great complexity, and frequently, quite beautiful. Their singer has an amazing (and intelligible!) roar/growl, but also a truly great, expressive singing voice. It sounds like you would dig Opeth’s Watershed released this year as well. It is quite a great album. C'mon! Vampire Weekend are not that bad. They're delightful 80's Paul Simon yuppie wannabes. Their album barely scratches thirty minutes, if it even does, which bars the problem that ruins 75% of modern albums, being blatantly far longer than necessary.
